Desk Calendars
I combined my original illustrations into a 12 page calendar, featuring whimsical animals and nature scenes. The months and dates were hand painted in watercolor, described below.
For 2026, these 12 designs included...
January - animals ringing in the new year during a festive, snowy, forest party
February- delivering a "you are my favorat" letter in a woodland scene, plus a handful of other animal friends mailing their love letters.
March- the salamanders hosting a moss market by the creek, getting excited about the first signs of spring.
April- cherry blossom season! A little rat friends picnic and a dog biking to the library through the cherry trees.
May- a bear reading to her baby bears (with a few other forest friends listening), plus some cute snakes and a beetle.
June- little rats preparing a summer salad, surrounded by summery quilt square designs
July- the tomato town in the garden bed is lively, and the flock of chickens are busy in the summer! Did you know that when blue tailed skinks eat popsicles, their tongues turn blue too?
August- some frogs and bumblebees enjoying tea time in the lotus bed, plus a fridge full of flowers for the bumblebee, and making wishes on dandelions for the bear and rat friends.
September- the last flowers of the season are for sale at the flower shop, plus some hedgehogs disguised as chestnuts.
October- trick or treating rats in their forest neighborhood! Plus pumpkin carving and apple pie.
November- a daring rat trying to steal a piece of pumpkin pie the day after Thanksgiving, plus three proud members of the leaf peeping club.
December- a festive Christ-mouse Market, plus warm and wooly wishes from the wooly worms in their tea pot, and a cozy bear sleeping on a hot chocolate marshmallow!
For 2025, these 12 designs included...
January - a cozy gingerbread mouse house, plus a couple penguins meeting a chilly cat.

April- cherry blossom season! A little rat friends picnic and a dog biking to the library through the cherry trees.
May- tea time in the rice paddy, just as rice is starting to be planted. Plus some rats find a "once in a lifetime" strawberry, and the cicadas begin to sing in May.
June- can be a little rainy, but it's also the month of the hydrangeas blooming, so there are beetles in boots and rats jumping in puddles!
July- the ice cream truck has something for everyone, plus a vending machine for something cold to drink. Did you know that when blue tailed skinks eat popsicles, their tongues turn blue too?
August- back to school and work on the train, plus a fridge full of flowers for the bumblebee, and making wishes on dandelions for the bear and rat friends.
September- picking persimmons in the orchard, plus some hedgehogs disguised as chestnuts.
October- trick or treating rats in their forest neighborhood! Plus pumpkin carving and apple pie.
