Postcard Club Illustrations (Year 3)
The “Postcard Club” is back for year three! Since beginning in 2023, I’ve been creating and mailing these monthly designs.
2024 was the year of the dragon, and 2025 is the year of the snake! Snakes can symbolize growth and rebirth since they shed their skin, so one sticker for the month features snakes surrounded by sprouting leaves, spelling out the year. January’s postcard was a festive forest New Year’s party! The animal friends are ringing in the new year with a snowy woodland party.

February 2025
This month's designs were all about love! And puns :)
Some of you might remember the "You Are My Favo-rat" sticker from a previous February, but I wanted to revisit that in more detail. So here's the postcard for February, a rat sharing a love letter with his favorite, or favo-rat! For the stickers, everyone got a "Hisses and Kisses" sticker (or whole sticker sheet depending on the tier), inspired by animals who hiss, but still deserve a kiss!
March 2025
This month's postcard features some salamanders enjoying a "moss market"! They've been gathering treasures from the forest, and have more than enough to share - so the salamanders are setting up some booths with pretty feathers, colorful leaves, tasty berries, and shiny acorns.
This month's sticker is "mundane magic" sticker, which features lightning bugs and was the first in an illustration series of everyday or "mundane" things that feel like magic (like fireflies). The salamander theme continues with the 2nd sticker for the Premier Postcard Club & Vinyl Sticker Club: this red salamander is rhododendron royalty!
April 2025
To celebrate spring and all the lovely fruits and veggies thriving in gardens, this month's postcard features some rats fixing up a spring salad! It's bordered with vibrant spring colored quilt patches highlighting some veggies that grow well in spring. Plus since they're rats they would never host a meal without a cheese board :)

May 2025
In this month's postcard, a mama bear is reading to her baby bears in the forest. But even though they fell asleep, there are still plenty of other eager listeners (5 if you can spot them all!) 🐇 🐿️ 🪲 🐀 🐦⬛ I thought this would be a fun postcard with Mother's Day this month :)
June 2025
Summer is coming! To celebrate, this month's postcard is camping themed - something I hope to be doing more of over the new few months! When I was younger I used to go to a girls summer camp, and we went on mountain bike and canoeing trips on Lake Fontana/the surrounding trails at Tsali. I loved riding bikes next to the lake and camping next to the water where we could jump in after a ride.
July 2025
This month's postcards features a bunch of rat friends picking blackberries to make summertime pies (and to snack on). I love picking wild blackberries, and recently I learned that we have wineberries growing in this area too, which are even softer and sweeter in my opinion!
The sticker that everyone gets is of some ladybugs and bumblebees making a tomato sandwich. I love the way tomatoes smell (especially the vines) and if you have a fresh tomato on cold salty mayo and soft white bread I think it's the perfect summer sandwich! I painted it with Duke's Mayonnaise since that was founded nearby in Greenville SC.
